Yes try the updated version instead. But make sure you delete every trace of the old version first or you might experience the same problems. And create a new profile in the game.

don't know where to put this that anyone will ever see it, but here goes…
i've been chasing bugs on my pooter since the beginning of the year. some games won't play, other games won't save progress, windows installer won't let me update Windows… then just this week, Google started redirecting. Malwarebytes, Spybot found nothing. MS' monthly malicious removal tool has NEVER found anything for me. so, while watching tube last night, i updated every protect-it/fix-it app i have, then rebooted in Safe Mode, ran them, nothing of import was found until the i did following different than before… last thing i did before going to bed was start MS' mal-removal tool in "Full Scan" mode (again, Safe Mode). "this could take several hours". they weren't kidding. when i awoke, it was still running. fast, yes, the files were flying by, but it looked at everything! & it reported 8 infected files. i was almost giddy. when you know something is wrong, the last thing you want hear is "Congratulations! nothing found." the 2 culprits were related, one a Trojan i'd never seen before & it's sister Rogue.
now it gets good & the reason i'm sharing this with any & all. MS' tool allows you to click for more information on any bug found, which leads to a specific at MS' page. i want to share a particular page & i hope ASG will allow this link. you'll love this, who among us hasn't seen this particular bug on their pooter? don't read the whole page, but scan to the bottom. actual screenshots of the bug in action, you'll recognize them, quite entertaining.
but, the best part is MicroSoft's suggestions for Prevention, & its not just for this bug. invaluable info, especially for a newbie. i'm not one, but i didn't know the importance of limiting access rights until i read this. i've bookmarked the link in a folder i call "Computering" so i'll always be able to reference it. if the link isn't allowed, i'll post again with a way to get the info to you.

and you can bet, forever after, once a month, i'm going to run MS' tool as i described. since on the subject here's a list of the truly free software i use to protect & clean my pooter, either actively or often (Xeny has a different list, who doesn't, but make your own list and use it!)…
1 Avast! anti-virus
2 Malwarebytes & Spybot (in tandem, whenever time permits. if you've ever used Spybot, you know what i mean)
3 Glary Utilities (all-in-one toolkit, i love using, i'll use it anytime i bored, LOL! beats the heck out of my old System Mechanic app i used for years)
4 Revo Uninstaller Pro (thanks to Xeny. this is the bomb when it comes to uninstalling. it cleans up the leftover crumbs)
5 Defraggler (a much better defrag proggy than standard issue. but whatever you use, defrag at least every so often. not every month, but don't forget, cuz its easy to do. defragging really helps speed things up. "spring clean" your HD before defragging, of course, so you have less to defrag, goes hand in hand)
6 Secunia PSI (Personal Software Inspector. you want this! "Detects and installs missing security patches for your PC." you'll be amazed when you first open this that its FREE)
and since the above apps are all free to the public, you can upgrade them with confidence.
my pooter credentials? i'm locally famous for being able to turn 3 useless pooters & turning them into one that will at least pull-start & go, "putt-putt-putt."

This is going to sound like a stupid question, but after the game is downloaded where will I find it? it's not in my downloads, and it doesn't ask me where I want to put it when I download, can someone help?

The last two days the download page won't load because the attached ads wont load.

ASG, thank you for the games that you are so kindly providing for us. I would like to present a request:
Could it be possible to make this site return to its initial status? I mean, make it again the place where people can express their opinions about the games and ask for each other's help, instead of a chat-room, occupied by a bunch of people? Their noisy comments distract the rest of us who need/would like to get information and talk about the games and not about the personal lives and gossipy opinions of the people mentioned. To be specific, I mean the people engaged in the poll. Their behaviour is really annoying. It discourages a lot of people from being active members of this site. Thank you for considering my request.
The chat-room effect is from Disqus, which ASG joined due to so many requests of varied kinds from other valued participants of their forum. The poll site is separate from Disqus like a separate application, and as far as I know was ASG's choice alone. They are always looking for ways to improve their forum.
I myself am confused as to what you refer to when you say people engaged in the poll, as I cannot fathom how it has effected the ASG forum in discussing games and gaming activity.
I have not participated in the poll and am merely responding to questions asked, and comments made through Disqus onto ASG's forum, the same as you appear to be saying you are doing, and I have seen no problems with people gossiping, or acting silly, or anything in the nature you are implying.
I do see a whole lot of people asking gaming questions, though, and those being answered. Which is in fact what you want, yes?

Maybe you are confusing one site with another?
Choices are not made by selecting one guests observation and determination of what is over many participants enjoyment of the components ASG has included on their web site for just that purpose. Enjoyment.
Perhaps you could lighten up, and experience a little of what others here delight in, which is games, but another is friends. Try making some here, using the communication apps ASG has implemented, and indeed you may come to find it ain't so bad as you thought.
You might find something, or someone so unique, and wonderful, years down the road you might think, "What would have happened if I hadn't met……Sally Slame….and Stevo Cannivo, and Joo Joo Bee Clandycane…..How happy I am ASG ignored me way back then in 2011, when I asked that silly question".

To make things easier, Click on Tools, then options, then on the General tab. Under downloads, click on option that says "always ask me where to save files". or setup a file of your own for your downloads and click on "save files to" and click browse to locate that folder you chose on your hard drive. Hi, ASG! I wanted to ask you, how come it says for the game Time Mysteries 2:The Ancient Spectres CE, that it's 904 MB, but when I d/l it, it was 344 MB? Also, I checked around the web, and all the sites I looked at, the game is around 340 or so MB.
May I ask, what's with the 904 MB? Thanks for your help & all the great games!

I am running Windows 7 and I use Norton as anti virus. I just finished Weird Park, that was one of those games where it was happening.

Saya… it was here for about a day last month, then it was pulled, no explanation. but considering all the techno complaints, i'm not surprised. no doubt when a clean copy is available, it'll get reposted.
as you likely know, its the sequel to Flower Shop, not to be confused with a similar titled game. the "pair" of games are obviously connected via their artwork & storyline. don't forget you can always search ASG for any game in the search window. they have over 1700 games, but not Flower Shop. not yet.
i dont know if this has been asked or answered, but last week i was able to download games as usual; however, every one ive tried since has had a error or that "header is corrupt". ive re-downloded the games installed, uninstalled, used 7-zip instead of normal rar program i use and i am getting same message. please assist.

I'm using windows 7 and filesonic 4 my downloads. When I download I usually disabled my Kapersky?? 2 ensure the program is not flagged or hindered. Frustrated cuz almost done with last game and was ready 2 start a new one.

Why not use Microsoft Security Essentials instead? It's free for Windows users, updates are a mere 3, yes, three clicks, and MSE only uses 2, yes two processess and is as good if not better than ANY anti-virus on the market. I've been using them right on 3 years, I s'pose, and they do not bug the heck out of you when they detect something suspicious, and you know what is best about them? They LITERALLY ASK the User/PC Owner what they would like the software to do, in a wee window, 3 options, remove, quarantine, or allow. They never are doing anything quietly, under the PC users nose, sneaking about, acting like you are a bozo while the software is genius…now we all know that is just NOT true, don't we?
This is one thing Mickey Not So Damn Soft did right, in my book, and they're even kind enough not to charge their users as long as they have authentic Windows software.
Last year, I think it was, MSE helped me nab a worm that my son attracted off a site he was too young to be on…and she and I whoooped some booty, even after the worm had blocked near every incoming downloaded from any and all MS web sites. It was exactly like a battle with swords! I had to run her maybe 5 to 6 times, as the worm kept attacking my Precious. Systen restore by this time was no help either, the worm had even almost taken over Command Prompt, and shockingly Safe Mode. Me kiddo's PC was almost a goner! By Malwarebytes, a tiny help, removing one of the worms children, and Microsoft Security Essentials took care of the other 10ish nasty kids the worm was bearing.
The program is made for XP, Vista, and 7, 32, and 64 bit each have their own downloads. Try it Toots, and you may find anti's, or this one at least, ain't so bad!

PS To Vazzy, in case you read this Dolly goo-loo, remember a long time ago when ya tried this and you got what you thought was a trojan? Errr Um Uh, I forgot to tell ya Toots, that was a file with a keygen, or patch. Back in the day, MSE wouldn't bother with those as they are not a harm generally, but in fact get the PC Owner something they want without exactly having the developers permission, as it were, but most other anti's will try and stop them, confusing a beginner pc user making them believe wrongfully that they are a tojan and will do you wrong! Facts are, they want to stop people from enjoying software for free, EVEN Intentionally FREE applications. These huge manufacturer's have more control they less the public PC User has, and can therefore manipulate the Market, and they richer they get, while you the consumer throws money down the flusher for cr@p a worm wouldn't want if they knew what that cr@p really does for ones security….Try NOTHING,
That is a major reason for all the bloody so called False-Positives going on round heah! They're false alright, your anti is lying to you and telling you you have infections when ya don't! i know of no major glitches in this game. there's an updated version as of a few days ago, not posted here, but i looked over the list of fixes & they were minor, not worth mentioning.
i hope you can get past that spot, the game gets even better from there.

I just came across your site (it's a wonderful site by the way) and saw that you had a handful of Nancy Drew games. As an avid fan of them I tried the download link, but apparently File Factory has a 500mb download limit so people without a premium account (ex: me) cannot access the game. I don't know if you guys were aware of this, but would it be possible to have the 500mb+ games on another sharing site?
It would be awesome if you could do that so I can procrastinate writing my criminology essay. Haha! (I'll eventually get around to writing it)
